I'm Mina.
And I like numbers and words (and proper punctuation).

Data Scientist
When I was nine, a teacher told me I was bad at math. Three years deep into a data science career (after taking AP Physics in high school, majoring in Economics at Bryn Mawr College, and calculating the bill split in my head at every dinner for my entire life) I finally realized - hey, maybe I am good at this math stuff. Now, I work at Intuit as a data scientist and previously worked at companies like The New York Times.
When math didn't seem like an option, storytelling became my escape. My very first story featured a dolphin named Daisy who went to first grade and talked incessantly. My second story was about a group of warrior women who kicked ass like no one's business.
When I'm not wrangling data into some sort of cohesive narrative, I write stories inspired by Indian culture, history, and religion. I placed runner up for #RevPit2023 for my fantasy manuscript about a student who organizes to save her school from a selfish King and an enigmatic goddess who wants access to the magic rich ore underneath it. Currently revising.
